Recording since 1992 and playing live since '97, The Tropics of Cancer remains one of London's best kept secrets. The legitimately bastardised child of one Joe Whitney (The Flaming Stars and countless other bands) The Tropics exists in order to wander at will through musical minefields with unpredictable results. Upwards as many as fifty talented and/or beautiful freaks have wandered into, out of and back into the line~up, producing a rich variety of styles and sounds, including foreign language recordings. Three single releases and one album release have received airplay on Radio 1 FM, MTV and ITV as well as plays in the US, Germany and Greece.
